Fast, Easy, Affordable, and Professional Logo Design
Do you remember the “for dummies” book series? I don’t know if they have a “Logo Design for Dummies” book, but if so, I am definitely a candidate. Designing a logo has been on my to-do list for awhile now, but I just couldn't come up with anything that I loved, so I was thrilled to learn about DesignEvo.
DesignEvo landing page
It’s free to start creating a logo in DesignEvo and so simple, with over 4,000 predesigned templates and a drag n drop process for those wanting to start from scratch. I perused the templates but felt empowered by my new tools, so I bravely selected the “start from scratch” button.

To my surprise, that’s where the fun began. I could drag and drop icons, text, and shapes into my new design. I could easily change background colors, foreground colors, and sizes before previewing my design on t-shirts, mugs, office walls, and journals.

preview feature displaying your logo creation on products
After creating 3 logo options and taking screenshots, I sent them to some friends for advice on my final selection. Ultimately, the preview feature determined my final design. It just looked best on every product shown. (If you struggle with logo design as I do, you will love the preview feature.)
final three logo options
Once I made a decision, DesignEvo gave me the option to download a low resolution file for free, pay a one-time fee of $19.99 for the basic package, or $39.99 for the plus package. I selected the plus package because it included vector, pdf, and svg files in addition to the png with transparent background.

And that was it. For the low price of $39.99 I had a logo I was excited about.

What I Wished For
An erase feature - to remove certain aspects of a pre-designed shape
I covered the line across the circle in my first design with a white rectangle so I could write “radiant”. However, in the preview, it was clear that if printed on anything but white this would be a problem. An erase tool would alleviate the issue and allow a bit more flexibility within the shapes.

A dotted circle with dots that remain small when scaled
I really wanted a circle of small dots instead of dashes in my third design to symbolize a flight path through the sky. However, the current options grew to polkadot size when enlarged to fit my text.
An option to create a business card with similar ease and features
The logo design process with DesignEvo was so effortless. With a new logo in hand I was ready to create my business cards. How could it be so difficult to place a logo and some text in a professional and creative way? Am I really this aesthetically challenged? I would have loved the same model for business card design. A business model expansion idea for the future.
